Love INC. is a non-profit organization that partners with churches to serve families in the local community by meeting verifiable and manageable needs.  Love INC. acts as a screening agent and clearinghouse for goods and services provided by its network of churches.  They review requests for help, assess and verify needs, refer or request assistance, and follow up to ensure that needs have been met and to offer prayer and spiritual support to recipients.

 

Love INC. provides a secure avenue for our church to not only provide for the physical needs of the community, but it gives us the chance to make a relational connection.  Because Love INC. does all the background work to verify the validity of the request, we as a church can focus on what we can do best, sharing our faith and showing Christ’s love in our community.

 

Currently, Faith Lutheran Church supports 2 major efforts through the Love INC. network.

• Clothe a Kid program:

Year–round ministry providing new, seasonally appropriate clothing to  children within Lorain County. There are opportunities to serve by engaging families, shopping for clothing and delivery of items needed.

• Personal Care Pantry Partnership at Zion Lutheran Church: 

This ministry hosts events 5 times a year with 10-15 families attending at each event.  Providing Lorain County families will need personal care and household cleaning supplies.  Opportunities to serve by shopping for and/or donating needed supplies and cleaning products, assembling care packages, prayer and support of local families, filling orders and loading cars at scheduled events.
