Interested in participating in Faith's confirmation? Wonderful!
Our 2018-2019 program will be using parts of Sparkhouse's CoLaborate confirmation curriculum to learn about the Small Catechism and how it relates to our everyday life. This unique program encourages students to ask questions about Lutheran doctrine and history.
All sessions of the curriculum will be taught at home, but all confirmands (and parents!) will meet on the 2nd Sunday of each month between September and April for group building and training. The recommended age for confirmands is 6th or 7th grade.
The whole family is involved in the growth, learning, and fun! Our program starts September 9. Classes are from 5:30-7:30 PM.
Luther's Small Catechism is designed to help students understand and apply the six chief parts of the Lutheran Doctrine.
Martin Luther writes, "As the head of the family should teach them in a simple way to his household."
At Faith, we believe it is the gift and responsibility of the home to raise up a child in the way he should go. Following the words in Deuteronomy 6:7, parents are called to impress the commandments of God on their children.
