You all have a view of what masculinity is, whether good or bad. God created us, man and woman and gave each unique and special characteristics of His nature and design that, when joined together in marriage, present to the world a complete image of God.
But what is true masculinity as designed?
Masculinity is not defined solely by gender. Being masculine is intentional and it is biblical. Of course, as fallen and sinful beings, we have corrupted the intent and design of masculine men.
Masculinity is simply the imperative that men have to lead, love, protect and provide for those that God has given them to do so in the various areas of their lives; family, profession, congregation and community. This has been corrupted by our sinfulness to be often an abusive and domineering force within our world that is hated by many.
That is because the definition is missing the important part, God. Men are called to lead, love, protect and provide for the glory of God….not themselves.
In fellowship, we explore topics dear to us, and learn to be the husbands, fathers, leaders, and partners that we were called and designed to be.
